Wooden Ciborium (artophorion), Offering by Neophytos, Metropolitan of Adrianople
Wooden ciborium (artophorion), clad in silver-gilt plaques. It belonged to Neophytos, Metropolitan of Adrianople (1664-1668), later Ecumenical Patriarch (1668-1669). He dedicated it to his cathedral church together with a hammered silver-gilt paten (ΒΧΜ 1480) and a silver-gilt crosier (pastoral staff) with enamels and precious stones (ΒΧΜ 2186), all products of a Constantinopolitan workshop.
