Evangelistarion (Lectionary)
Parchment Lectionary with decorated initials and headpieces. Later notes added to the manuscript indicate that it was used continuously over the centuries. The binding is covered in luxurious velvet adorned with tulip and carnation patterns, characteristic of the Ottoman techniques in the 17th and 18th c. From Herakleitsa in Eastern Thrace.
